Who is Riverwood View

With a passion for capturing wildlife from silly facial expressions to tangled sleeping positions, I hope these photos expand the visibility and understanding of wildlife living within urban cities along the tidal landscapes and waterways they call home.

In the third person: Diane has always been interested in photography. Her father retired from the United States Navy bringing home photos from travels overseas, volunteer organizations, and candid family photographs. She enjoys being behind the camera taking candid shots of birthdays, travels, and wildlife. Her photos have been used for milestone birthdays, celebrations of life, non-profits, and small businesses including waterscapes, spectacular sunsets, wildlife habits, and wildlife in motion.

In the first person: “I grew up with a variety of images including slide projectors, 8mm films, beta, VCR, and a multitude of cameras. Through the lens, I’ve seen ships deploy, families reunite, celebrations of life and history in the making. In 2012 I moved to a home along the river discovering my passion for wildlife photography. I am fascinated with it’s vivid colors and gaining insight into habitats along the tidal waterfront. The red flashing through the trees, the tell-tale sign of a red fox, and the clicking chirp of a bald eagle calling from the tree line. I enjoy sharing these precious moments skirting along the suburb’s tidal landscape of hidden life under the brush, within the branches, and under the pier.”
